As gay guys in our 30s from Denver, Co in the U.S. we love to travel. So, we set Vietnam in our sights. Impulsively, we decided to do a food tour of Saigon to learn more about the food and see the city. I google-searched “gay food tours in Saigon” and clicked on Pride Tours. Two hours later, we hopped on the back of some scooters with our guides as drivers. We booked our 4-hour tour (from 6 PM to 10 PM) two hours before it started. Immediately, I got an email and a friendly phone call from Pumba saying “make sure to bring your appetites!” Pumba, and drivers Thanh, and Quang were SUPER friendly. They were very knowledgeable about the local Saigon food scene and spoke very good English. They took us to some neighborhoods no typical tourist could possibly know about on their own. Later, the guides spilled the beans that Pumba really loves karaoke. So, after some coaxing he sang us a song! We laughed so much and ate so many different types of food!
The Pride Drives tour is a must-do for anyone regardless if you’re LGTBQ. Our tour guides are awesome and will forever be remembered!
